Holes- movie & book.
In our literacy group we had to read the book “holes” we had about 3-4 weeks to read it in. After we had read the book, we had to write a review about what happened. Then after we had done the review and everything, we got to watch the movie. As we were watching the movie, we had to write down what things we recognised different about the book “holes” and the movie. After we watched the movie and wrote down what we thought was different between the two, we had to right our own opinion about if it’s better to read the book or watch the movie first.
I reckon it’s better to watch the movie first, then read the book.
Because, then, you’ve seen the movie, and you know what happens. Then when you read the book, and they say pretty much the same thing, you can picture it in your head, and see there facial expressions. Also you can see what the difference things, because the book might be a bit different to the movie, usually it is. And some people would rather watch a movie than read a book..
Different things with the book and movie:
- Stanley wasn’t over weight
- they didn’t tell about Stanley’s school life and about him, they did in the book though
- there was no fridge underneath the desk
- the fields weren’t full of hay and cotton
- they didn’t say Mr Sir’s read name in the book
- there wasn’t heaps of tress
Plus more.
